From 10 to 13 June 2027, Bern will become the meeting place for the JCI European Capitals Meeting ECM27. Over four days, the congress combines international exchange and networking with Swiss tradition, Bernese history and special urban and nature experiences.
The provisional programme begins on Thursday with a welcome aperitif at the Altes Tramdepot. On Friday, Bern's tradition and enduring character take centre stage: plans include a shared breakfast, visits to the Erlacherhof and a confectionery, as well as a guided tour of Bern's Old Town. The day concludes with the gala evening.
On Saturday, the city meets nature. The programme includes a visit to swisstopo, an excursion to the Gurten with an SBB contribution on mobility, a walk through Bern with various pop-up stops, a river-surfing demonstration, the history of chocolate in the Marzili district and a shared BBQ in Felsenau.
On Sunday, we will bid farewell to the participants over a shared fondue or raclette lunch. The event will conclude with a vote on the host city for the European Capitals Meeting 2028.
