Talk & Book Launch: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication

LUMA presents the launch of Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, a new publication by Peter Fischli, produced by LUMA Foundation and Verlag der Buchhandlung Walther und Franz König.

To launch the publication, Peter Fischli will be in conversation with writer Dr Caitlín Doherty. The conversation will be followed by a book signing.

More than a documentation of Fischli’s exhibition People Planet Profit at LUMA Arles (2025), the book unfolds as a dense, filmstrip-like sequence of images. Captured on Fischli’s phone, a kaleidoscopic flow of images chronicles the exhibition while reflecting on the signs and systems that shape contemporary life. The publication examines how the symbols and infrastructures of capitalism vie for attention and structure perception, revealing a world in constant, dizzying flux.
