This isn't just a concert.

Live music and dance come together in a truly unique dialogue: the piano duo of Silvia Lama and Vladislav Mantic-Lugo intertwines with the movement of ballerina Cristina Martinez and the voice of opera singer Marìa Dìaz Coca.

And behind the beauty, your participation supports the work of a UBS Optimus Foundation e program, helping break the cycle of poverty through learning.

About the Artists

Silvia Lama — Pianist

Silvia Lama (Italian) combines music, entrepreneurship, and social impact throughout her career. She holds a degree in Piano Performance from the “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Ravenna, she won 7 awards, and matured over 16 years of experience performing and teaching music across Europe, with a versatile repertoire spanning Classical, Romantic, Film, Disney, and Pop music. She is the founder of Keys for Change, a community of professional musicians who perform concerts to support social causes, as well as the founder of Musa, an EdTech start-up dedicated to making music education intuitive, accessible, and fun.

In parallel with her concert, teaching, and lecturing activities, Silvia continues to nurture her social entrepreneurial spirit as UBS Global Visionaries Program Manager - a global accelerator supporting impactful entrepreneurs to scale their solutions to some of today's most pressing social and environmental challenges.

In 2017, Silvia obtained in parallel a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance from the State Music Conservatory "Giuseppe Verdi" of Ravenna and a Bachelor's Degree in IT & Management Engineering from the University of Bologna. In 2019, she completed a Master of Science in Management, Technology, and Economics at ETH Zürich, where she was awarded "The Alfred Escher of tomorrow" by ETH Zürich (Feb, 2019). 

In 2022, Silvia successfully joined Nova Talent Global professional network and in 2023 was awarded with the Italy Nova 111 prize, as one of the most promising best talents under 35 in the category “Banking, payments and insurance”.

Vladislav Mantic-Lugo - Pianist

Born in Cuba and having lived in Slovakia and Spain, Vladislav Mantic-Lugo has developed a deep appreciation for the cultural diversity and emotional expression that music can convey.

He studied at the Music Conservatory of Sevilla and now lives in Zurich, where he works in the technology sector while continuing his advanced piano studies. His musical style combines classical repertoire with popular and folkloric influences.

Vladislav regularly performs charity and pro bono concerts, inspired by his belief in music’s ability to connect people, create awareness, and contribute to positive change.

Marìa Dìaz Coca - Opera singer

María, born in Seville, began piano and violin at age seven and got drawn to performance through two local theater groups. Her vocal training started at the Haute École de Musique de Genève with mezzo-soprano Jeanne Roth, and she is now pursuing a Specialised Music Performance master's at the Zurich University of the Arts under baritone Sebastian Geyer, alongside studies with soprano Luba Orgonasova and Lied specialists Christoph Berner and Hans Adolfsen. She has also taken masterclasses with singers including Brigitte Wohlfahrt, Martin Bruns, Caroline Stein, Luciana Serra, Luisa Castellani, Arthur Stefanowicz, and Margreet Honig.

María gravitates toward modern and contemporary repertoire — composers like Lachenmann, Berio, Aperghis, and Ligeti — and enjoys collaborating with young composers to help shape new works. To broaden her range further, she has taken jazz and improvisation lessons during her master's studies with German jazz singer Anne Czychowsky. Her achievements include the audience prize at the Elvirissima Junge Stimmen Wettbewerb 2018 in Lucerne and the honour prize at the Interpretation of Contemporary Music competition in Zurich in 2021.

She currently sings as a freelance member of the Zurich Opera House Choir while also building a solo career nationally and internationally, with contemporary music remaining a core interest. Recent highlights include a world premiere by Wolfgang Mitterer at the Salzburg Pocket Opera Festival and her debut as Monica in Gian Carlo Menotti's The Medium.

Cristina Martinez - interdisciplinary artist, choreographer and movement researcher

Cristina holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Monterrey (UDEM) and received professional classical ballet training through the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), London. Her artistic practice has been shaped through training at Joffrey Ballet School (Trainee Program), Peridance Center, Broadway Dance Center, and GagaLab NYC, as well as through collaborations with artists including Maleek Washington, Bret Easterling, Kyle Scheurich, César Brodermann, Smadar Goshen, and Aly Khamees.

She completed a Humanistic Dance Therapy Certification in 2025 and will begin the Master's in Choreography at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) in August 2026. Her work has been presented in Mexico, the United States, and Germany. 

Working across choreography, performance, and visual art, she explores how the body relates to space, memory, and time. Her research focuses on how personal experiences reveal broader questions like migration, impermanence, and human connection. Alongside her artistic practice, she has over ten years of experience teaching dance and movement, bringing together choreography, somatic practices, and artistic research.
