Hugo Fernández is a Mexican jazz guitarist who has settled in Berlin since 6 years, after more than a decade in Madrid. His musical quest has led him to build his own universe, where the rich legacy of jazz coexists with the energy of other music such as pop-rock, world folklore and classical. At the age of 23, he traveled to Boston to study at Berklee College of Music. In 2003 he moved to New Orleans to study for a master’s degree in jazz studies.
He has performed at venues and festivals in Mexico, Spain and in Germany, increasingly carving a niche for himself on the jazz scene in the rest of Europe.
