Angelcrypt, are a melodic death metal band hailing from the stunning island of Malta and have been making waves in the music scene since their formation in 1997. Their track “The Black Hand” has even been selected as the official theme song for Banger TV's acclaimed Global Overkill series.
The band has participated in numerous prestigious festivals and has toured extensively throughout Europe and Western Asia, with exciting plans to expand into Japan. In 2020, Angelcrypt took a significant step by signing a record deal with the esteemed Boersma Records in Germany. Before releasing their long-awaited full-length album, Dawn Of The Emperor, on June 12, 2020, the band had already left a mark with their prior album, We Are the Dead. Following this, they launched two successful singles, “Forever Hero” and “Legacy of Valour,” both of which resonated strongly with fans during live performances.Looking forward, the band is set to unveil their latest single, “Through Blackened Waters,” scheduled for release on March 19, 2025. This powerful track narrates the harrowing journey of the convoy “SS Ohio” that, after a perilous voyage, on the 15th of August 1942, arrived half-sunken in Malta’s grand harbour, delivering essential supplies that would turn the tide of war. Accompanying the single, their much-anticipated European tour will kick off in April, promising to captivate audiences with their signature sound and electrifying energy.
