EDENBRIDGE BIOGRAPHY
Since 2000, EDENBRIDGE is a stunning band that brings a little bit of heaven down to earth. Their
debut record Sunrise in Eden was a very successful entry in the metal scene that immediately gained
them popularity. After a tour with AXXIS and PINK CREAM 69, the debut record was licensed
worldwide.
The following records Arcana (2001) and Aphelion (2003), recorded and mixed by Dennis Ward
(PINK CREAM 69) in the House of Audio Studios, increased their loyal fanbase. In 2004, their live
CD + DVD release, A Lifetime in Eden (2004), represented a successful cross-section of their first
three records. Tours and festivals led the band throughout Europe and also took them to South
Korea and Russia.
Without changing their style, EDENBRIDGE developed a new sound quality with their fourth
record, Shine (2004). A darker guitar sound, Sabine’s characteristic voice, and choir arrangements
sung by Dennis Ward made this record varied and fluent. The band then played in Derby, England
at the legendary Bloodstock festival for the first time. Soon, the title track “Shine” was released as a
single and Edenbridge toured with ANGRA in southern Europe and

Without changing their style, EDENBRIDGE developed a new sound quality with their fourth
record, Shine (2004). A darker guitar sound, Sabine’s characteristic voice, and choir arrangements
sung by Dennis Ward made this record varied and fluent. The band then played in Derby, England
at the legendary Bloodstock festival for the first time. Soon, the title track “Shine” was released as a
single and Edenbridge toured with ANGRA in southern Europe and France.
The Grand Design (2006), their next album, was recorded (except the drums) in Lanvall’s studio,
Farpoint Station. Dutch artist Robby Valentine added 64-person choir parts, which made the release
even more sonorous. Karl Groom (THRESHOLD) produced the album with very powerful and
clear results. After a headlining UK tour in 2006, EDENBRIDGE became the first symphonic metal
band to both China and Taiwan.
With MyEarthDream (2008), the band inked a deal with Napalm Records and teamed up with the
Czech Film Orchestra, also heard on myriad Hollywood productions. The force of a full-piece
orchestra, in combination with the power of 7-string guitars elevated Edenbridge’s sound to a whole
new level.Following the release of the album, Edenbridge embarked on a six-week European tour
with Rage and played for the second time in South Korea, this time headlining the Jump Guro
Festival in Seoul. The band also played shows in the Benelux countries (including the Metal Female
Voices Festival) and in Norway. A headlining tour followed in 2009 that took Edenbridge to The
Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. Finally, the band played
for the first time at the renowned Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig and received tremendous feedback
from an almost exclusively Gothic crowd.
Without ever completely abandoning their trademark sound, Edenbridge constantly moves in a
heavier direction, though never fails to include their signature melodies or atmospheric feel.
Solitaire (2010) continued the way, and provided the band's biggest hit „Higher“ with over 4 million
visits on Youtube. The album also hit the German album charts. A promotional tour in Indonesia
followed and Edenbridge topped the Indonesian rock charts with the title track „Solitaire“ for 3
weeks in a row. Sabine and Lanvall furthermore came to Vietnam for an acoustic show at the
renowned Au Co Theatre in Hanoi.
After a 3 years break and the move to the new record label Steamhammer/SPV, „The Bonding“
(2013) marked the band's 8th studio album. The Klangvereiniung Vienna provided the orchestral
parts to the huge overall band sound. The album was promoted on a European tour through the UK,
Austria, Switzerland and the Czech Republic.
In 2015 the 6 DVD package „A Decade and a Half...The History so far“ highlighted the first 15
years of the band career on over 9 hours playing time, with full multi cam shows from Germany
(2004), Beijing (2007) and Czech Republic (2014).
„The Great Momentum“ (2017) saw the band play on the legendary 70.000 tons of metal festival in
the Carribean followed by shows throughout Europe and another European co-headlining tour with
Amberian Dawn. „The Great Momentum“ hit the official album charts in Germany and
Switzerland, UK and the US.
„Dynamind“, their 10th studio album was released released in October 2019, hitting again the album
charts in Germany. The band toured China for the 2nd time in September and October co-headlining
the Forest Festival Nanjing in front of 30.000 people and further headlining shows in Shanghai,
Suzhou and Wuxi. 2020 sees the band return to the 70.000 Tons of Metal festival in the Carribean.
In 2022 the band signed to AFM Records/Soulfood to release their 11th studio album „Shangri-La“
on August 26, entering the Swiss Album Charts. A highly succesfull European tour followed in
February 2003 promoting the album.
In 2024 the band will embark on their „25th Anniversary Tour“ in Europe, performing songs from all
11 studio albums, for sure a highlight for their fans!
