The Kate Effect / Blame Zeus / Another Approach

Although often mistaken for a British fashion phenomenon, The Kate Effect are in fact a Swiss band. Their explosive mixture of melodic death and thrash metal with a little dash of hardcore firmly lodges in the 2000s nostalgia center of every brain, taking the listener on a journey from breakdown to blastbeat and finally lands on the expected climax with catchy choruses.

The Kate Effect are a guarantee for exuberant live shows and, with their combined 60 years of band experience, prove time and again why they have been an integral part of the Swiss metal and hardcore scene since 2011.

In its current line-up, The Kate Effect consists of founding members Lukas Villiger (vocals), Martin “März” Kubli (guitar), Marco “Rada” Radamonti (guitar, also with, WithOneWord) and Pascal Maurer (drums, also with Silent Circus).

Blame Zeus is a rock and metal band formed in 2010, known for combining powerful riffs with soulful vocals and emotional depth. Their sound blends elements of rock, metal, blues, and progressive music, creating an intense and dynamic atmosphere on stage.

Over the years, Blame Zeus have released four critically acclaimed albums — Identity (2014), Theory of Perception (2017), Seethe (2019), and Laudanum (2023) — and have performed alongside renowned acts such as Lacuna Coil, Moonspell, and R.A.M.P.. Signed to Rockshots Records, the band continues to grow their international audience.

In January 2025, Blame Zeus will embark on their first European nightliner tour, bringing their distinctive and passionate live energy to new audiences across the continent.

We are Another Approach, a progressive metal band based in Winterthur, Switzerland. Our music is defined by reconciled opposites: quiet instrumental parts lead into hard hitting breakdowns, slow and intimate vocal passages give way to fast-paced, screeching guitar-solos and atmospheric synthesizer sounds set up catchy melodies. The sound lives from the contrasts produced by juxtaposing these devices as well as the tension created by the struggle to keep them from falling apart. Our style knows few boundaries, often drawing from different genres such as Jazz and Blues. This allows for differentiated, colourful and at times humorous storytelling that is not only manifested in the lyrics of our songs, but also in their structure.
