Parenting with Play & Empathy
Credits: Alexandra Teleru
Parenting with play & empathy sounds lovely – but does it actually work?
Yes. Science backs it up. And real life proves it too.
From brushing teeth and getting dressed to bedtime chaos, car-ride boredom, and big feelings – when we understand how play supports cooperation and regulation, everyday moments start to feel lighter.
🐸 Join Frogs in Mugs for a hands-on parenting workshop.
We leave behaviorism behind (time-outs, reward charts, artificial consequences) and focus on what actually supports your child’s brain and emotional development.
🌟 What We Will Explore Together
-
The Science Bit: Rooted in neuroscience, attachment theory, and play research, we’ll look at why responsiveness matters – and how play builds trust, cooperation, and emotional safety.
-
From Struggle to Snuggle: Use a playful lens to turn stressful transitions (bedtime, mealtime, leaving the park) into bonding moments that get results and giggles.
-
The Parent Pause: Get curious about your own play preferences and strengths – we help you find what feels natural and doable for you.
-
Froggy Ideas: You’ll leave with a toolkit of simple ideas to use right away – plus a quick look at how the Froggy App can support daily connection at home.
