Führung durch die Ausstellung:
Jeden Freitag um 16:00 Uhr

Die Ausstellung beleuchtet erstmals die Beziehungen des Malers Gustav Klimt zu Vorarlberg – insbesondere seine Freundschaft mit dem Dornbirner Textilfabrikanten Julius Rhomberg und die Verbindung zu dessen Firma Herrburger & Rhomberg. Ein eigenes Kapitel widmet sich Hermann Flöge, dem älteren Bruder von Klimts Lebensgefährtin Emilie Flöge, der als Prokurist bei Herrburger & Rhomberg die Beziehung zwischen Rhomberg und Klimt nachhaltig prägte. Zudem zeigt die Ausstellung farbenprächtige Stoffe der Firma, die nach Entwürfen von Künstler:innen im Umfeld der Wiener Secession entstanden sind.

Kurator der Ausstellung ist Dr. Tobias G. Natter.
