We need...
Actors: 3 women and 3 men. Ages: flexible, but preferably…
- Edward, male lead, 45+
- Alex, Edward’s friend, roughly the same age
- Ruby, Edward’s wife, 35-40
- Glenda, a friend of Alex’s, 25-30
- Frances (only 2nd half), 45+
- Hedley (only 2nd half), 50+, bald head preferable
Production helpers:
- assistant director
- stage manager/hands
- light & sound operators
Rehearsals will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings and some Saturday mornings. Everybody is welcome, no experience or preparation is needed.
Performance dates: 6, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28 March 2026
About the play:
Edward is a playwright and husband of the tempestuous actress Ruby. Tragically, Ruby is found dead in bed after the last night of their theatre’s Hamlet. A year later, Edward remains deeply affected and has moved into the attic room of one of his oldest actor friends, Alex. Edward needs a new play for the company but is suffering from writer’s block.
