First time watching an improv show? You might be wondering…

• Is the show completely unscripted?

Yes. Everything—the characters, the plot, the jokes, and the dialogue—is made up live on the spot. Nothing is pre-written or rehearsed. Every night is completely different!

• Will I be forced to get up on stage?

No. Performing on stage is reserved strictly for the performers. You can sit back and watch safely from your seat without any pressure to perform.

• Will I get asked one-on-one questions and potentially made fun of (like in some stand-up shows)?

No, we might ask the crowd for a suggestion (e.g., a word, a location, a relationship) but participation is completely voluntary. You can shout something out if you feel like it, or just listen to what others say.

• What if a scene goes wrong or isn't funny?

That is part of the fun! Improv embraces mistakes, and watching performers figure out a way out of a silly or tricky situation in real time is often where the funniest moments come from.

• Is improv suitable for kids?

While our shows usually do not feature adult humor and language, we don't recommend it.

• How long does a show usually last?

The show lasts 90 minutes, with a 10-15 minute intermission in the middle. The venue bar remains open until 9:45 PM so you can stick around, grab a drink, and chill with the cast and fellow audience members after the curtain falls!
