We’re starting a new chapter at The Naughty Chapter: our very first English Romance Book Club! 💕📚

And we’re very excited to have Saleema hosting it.

Saleema already runs two book clubs of her own and loves bringing readers together over books, opinions and good conversations. Now, she’ll be bringing that energy to The Naughty Chapter and hosting our new English Romance Book Club.

For our very first meeting, we’re starting with:

🏒 Mile High by Liz Tomforde

Zanders is Chicago hockey’s favourite player to hate. Stevie is the new flight attendant on his team’s private plane and decidedly unimpressed by him. What follows is a sports romance full of banter, forced proximity, vulnerability, body-image conversations, complicated feelings, chemistry and, yes, plenty of spice.

But we’re not just here to decide whether we’re Team Zanders. We’ll be talking about questions like:

How much of Zanders is real — and how much is the persona he created for the public?
How does Stevie’s relationship with her body affect the way she sees herself and her relationships?

How do we feel about the workplace and power dynamics between them?

When does attraction turn into genuine emotional intimacy?

And, of course: did we actually like the book?

Expect opinions. Expect spoilers. Expect romance discourse.

Important: The €11 ticket covers the Book Club only. The book itself is not included in the ticket price and will be paid separately when you collect it at The Naughty Chapter.

By choosing this ticket option, you are placing a binding order for one English copy of Mile High.

We will order a copy specifically based on your booking, so please only select this option if you intend to purchase and collect your book. We’ll let you know as soon as your copy is ready.

Collection:
Orders placed Monday–Friday before 5 PM are usually ready for collection on the next business day.
Orders placed after 5 PM on Friday or during the weekend are usually ready for collection from Tuesday.

Already have your own copy? Perfect.

Choose this option and simply bring the book you already own. No additional book purchase is required.

🛍️ YOUR BOOK CLUB STARTS BEFORE THE BOOK CLUB

The discussion starts at 7:30 PM, but Book Club guests are welcome at The Naughty Chapter from 7:00 PM.

The shop will already be closed to the public, which means you get 30 minutes of exclusive after-hours browsing and shopping before we settle in for the evening.

💬 GOOD TO KNOW

The Book Club will be held entirely in English.

You absolutely don’t have to be a native speaker. If you’re comfortable chatting about books in English, you’re very welcome.

You also do not have to finish the book before joining us. Life happens and Mile High is not exactly a novella 😉
However, our discussion may cover the entire book, including the ending, so please expect spoilers.

Mile High is an adult romance and contains explicit sexual content as well as themes including anxiety and body image.
