SuperChess: The First Table

Every piece you take scores.

SuperChess is chess scored on the material you capture, not just on who wins. Points add up round after round on a live table on the big screen, and the player who wins the game isn’t always the one who wins the round.

The scoring

• Pawn 1 · Knight 3 · Bishop 3 · Rook 5 · Queen 9
• Win the game and you take the king too: +15
• A draw pays your captures and nothing more
• Run out of time and your opponent takes your king

How the evening works

• Round 1 is drawn at random
• After that, the live table splits into three sections (Top, Middle and Bottom) and you play someone in your section
• The sections are recut after every round, so one good game moves you up
• Every section crowns its own winner

Good to know

• 12 seats only. This is our first table, so it’s small on purpose
• Any level welcome: complete beginners to club players
• Boards and clocks provided, all games 10 minutes + 5 seconds per move
• Food and drinks from the Bar
• Doors 19:00
