Imaginary Dancescape

All bodies welcome and no background in movement necessary- it's for everyone who is curious and willing to play! 

Gaga/people class offers a framework for users to connect to their bodies and imaginations, experience physical sensations, improve their flexibility and stamina, exercise their agility and explosive power, and enjoy the pleasure of movement in a welcoming, accepting atmosphere. The session will be led by dance artist Céline Barreau. 

Imaginary Dancescape is an open dance format that explores the spectrum of danceable music and is aimed at people interested in dance, regardless of age or ability. Musician and sound artist Benjamin Pogonatos plays live improvised music and invites you to dance, experiment, linger, and listen. Various musical instruments and everyday objects are electronically altered as sound sources and woven into a dense dancescape. This creates a soundscape that fills the empty space with imaginary landscapes.
