Join us for a beautiful day trip to the famous Valle Verzasca in Ticino! 💙
We will travel together from Lucerne to Sonogno, a charming mountain village at the end of the valley. From there, we'll follow the Verzasca River on a scenic hike towards Lavertezzo, passing traditional stone villages, crystal-clear water, and impressive waterfalls along the way.
The route is considered easy to moderate and is suitable for anyone with a basic level of fitness. Compared to hikes such as Oeschinensee or the Aletsch Glacier trails, this hike is less demanding, with very little elevation gain and well-maintained paths throughout.

🥾 Distance: approx. 14 km
⛰️ Elevation gain: minimal (around 50 m)
⏱️ Hiking time: approx. 3 – 4 hours (excluding breaks)
💪 Difficulty: Easy – Moderate
Depending on the group's pace and weather conditions, we may include a short detour to the beautiful La Froda waterfall. We will also make regular breaks whenever needed and enjoy a longer rest stop along the route. Around lunchtime, we'll stop in one of the villages where there are restaurants available, but participants are also welcome to bring their own picnic.
