In her first concert in almost 7 years - the last being pre-pandemic at Berlin’s Volksbühne in 2019 - Gemma brings an intimate solo performance to the ethereal Galiläakirche, with a selection of songs from her 10-album back catalogue.
A torch-singing-guitarist maverick whose cinematic sideways blues and psychedelic pop-noir has been hailed by peers such as Jimmy Page and Kris Kristofferson, her career has seen her collaborate with (amongst others) Sparks, Alan Vega, Wim Wenders, members of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Filmorchester Babelsberg. Her music has soundtracked several films and TV hows such as Russian Doll, The Purge and The Killing.
Since her last concert Gemma has raised two children, released an electronic collaborative detour called “Gemma Ray & The Death Bell Gang" and produced records for other artists.
