Indus is a hybrid of the musical landscape from the Caribbean coast of Colombia and the global club culture. Their live show is an energetic discharge of acid analog synthesizers and afro-colombian vocals and percussion. The duo is formed by the producer Oscar Alford and percussionist Franklin Tejedor from San Basilio de palenque. Oscar has worked in studio with renowned acts such as Sidestepper, Ghetto Kumbe, Montoya, Nidia Gongora amongst others. Franklin, also known as “lamparita” is one of the most renowned palenque Tamboreros from his generation, carrying the tradition of his musical family
Indus has released music since 2020 independently and under labels like ZZK Records and Palenque Records. Their work includes 2 albums, several singles including collaborations with some of the most renowned traditional Colombian musicians such as traditional folk singers Nelda Piña on “Alfa Indi”, Hermes Romero on the song “Noche Oscura” and San Basilio de Palenque’s iconic bands such Las Alegres Ambulancias, Sexteto Tabala and Son Palenque on their remixes Eps.

Indus’ music has been awarded several times by Colombian government and reviewed by international press such as Sounds and Colors (UK), South Plug (CL), Gladys Palmera (ESP), Marvin in Magazine (MEX), Filter (MX), Shock Magazine (COL), Notizie (ITA) and Radiónica (COL) amongst others.
