Day 1: Voice & Rhythm. Through engaging Voice Exercises, explorations of rhythm and intuitive singing, we’ll delve into a journey of discovering our own melody. Learn in a fun & playful way how to create new melodies, how to harmonise and blend your voice in a group, and to express yourself fearlessly and letting go of what holds you back.

Day 2: Songwriting, uncovering the unique song of your soul. Step by step, you will be guided into crafting your own song - exploring the art of writing music that resonates long after it finished. You are welcome to bring your own instruments on this day! If you don’t play an instrument, you will be supported in finding

At the end, you will take away:

• New practices to develop and strengthen your vocal abilities
• A heightened sense for rhythm and timing in music
• Overcoming fear of singing and performing in front of others
• An increase of joy and comfort to play and sing in a group
• Your own song accompanied with instruments, and a recording of it
• A community of kindred spirits and newfound friendships :)

This is how the two days will look like*:

DAY 1 - FREE YOUR VOICE • 11 to 5 PM

• Introduction, Check-In & Intention Setting
• Voice Exercises - vocal anatomy, voice projection, strengthening breath and more
• Rhythm Section - playing rhythm with our bodies, voice, or drums & shakers
• Melody Section - crafting spontaneous melodies
  - 1 hour lunch break -
• Creating our own chorus
• Freeflow singing in group
• Integration with Sound Journey
• Closing Sharing Circle
   

DAY 2 - SONG OF YOUR SOUL • 11 to 5 PM

• Check-In & Intention Setting
• Vocal Warm Up, Rhythm & Melody
• Breakdown of a song
• Group Songwriting & Presentation
  - 1 hour lunch break -
• Solo Songwriting
• Presenting Songs & Feedback
• Integration with Sound Healing Journey
• Closing Sharing Circle

A simple, light and nourishing vegan lunch is included, but you are welcome to contribute for a potluck (bonus karma points!) or to bring your own dish.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

As a daughter of the enchanting Balinese jungles and majestic mountains of Switzerland, Purnama is a singer-songwriter with a captivating voice and a deep reverence to Spirit. Her artistic journey has been shaped by her diverse cultural experiences from her travels across the globe and the rich spiritual heritage from her ancestors, adding rich layers of inspiration to her creations.

Driven by her life's passion to foster unity and empowerment, Purnama utilizes the universal language of music to cultivate sacred spaces where authenticity and genuine expression can flourish. This dedication has led her to create countless singing or vocal workshops and events over the last 3 years in Bali and Europe, each time opening hearts & voices to the magic of music & community.

As a singer-songwriter, she performs solo as well as in her bands: Puente Pelangi with her partner Juan, and All Is Sacred with NRYN and Rob Recker. She has graced the stage at BaliSpirit Festival and other international festivals in Bali, in recent years alongside musicians such as the Kirtaniyas or Kailash Kokopelli. She has also contributed in workshops and immersions with the Hanuman Project and Facesoul.
