A lively virtual interaction with the cast and crew will follow the screening. The interaction will be joined by lead actors Ritwik Chakraborty, Amit Saha and the renouned Indian director Pradipta Bhattacharya.
The film follows Nadhar, a middle-aged man in rural Bengal (India) whose extraordinarily slow movements have made him an outsider in a fast-paced, productivity driven world. After the death of his mother and sole caregiver, he is drawn into a travelling circus, where his condition becomes a spectacle for public consumption. Officially selected at many international film festivals, this contemplative and deeply humane drama explores slowness, dignity and what it means to live profoundly out of step with society.
