Hiking day in Adelboden

Dear Erasmi,

We are calling all nature lovers and adventure seekers! Get ready to explore one of Switzerland’s most stunning natural wonders – the Engstligen Falls near Adelboden! Join us for a day of hiking, breathtaking waterfall views, and great company. This trip offers two hiking routes — Easygoing Moderate and Well-Experienced Moderate — both ending at the waterfalls, so you can choose your own adventure!

WHEN: Saturday, 25th of October 2025. We meet at 09:10 in front of the big screens at Bern Hauptbahnhof and will return around 18:30.

REGISTRATION: Opens on Saturday 18th of October at 12:00 (noon). Get your ticket on Eventfrog!

 PRICES:

With GA:

• With ESNcard: 4 CHF
• Without ESNcard: 9 CHF

With Halbtax or no train reduction:

• With ESNcard: 14 CHF
• Without ESNcard: 19 CHF

Tickets include: Train tickets and some snacks

Tickets do NOT include: Lunch – please bring your own

Important Info:

• Two hiking routes available: Easygoing moderate and well-Experienced Moderate 
• Both require some previous hiking experience
• Hiking shoes are mandatory
• Bring warm, waterproof clothes – mountain weather can change quickly! 
• Don’t forget your water and good vibes!

Easygoing Moderate Hike 

Length: 7.9 km | Duration: ~3h30 | Elevation: 540 m up / 640 m down

A beautiful route with slightly less elevation, offering great views of the Engstligen Falls.

Length: 7.1 km | Duration: ~3h30 | Elevation: 680 m up / 670 m down

ESN card discount

The ticket options “with ESN card” are available at a special reduced price for holders of the ESN card. Please only purchase a ticket from this category if you own a valid ESN card or if you plan to buy one in the near future. You may buy a card from ESN Bern for 15.- CHF. It is valid for one year and will give you discounts at our activities. Note that the card needs to be filled with your personal information and that it will be checked at the beginning of each activity.

GA

The “Generalabonnement” (GA) by the swiss train company SBB is a monthly or yearly subscription that grants holders unlimited travel on almost all trains. This is not handled by ESN. Please only buy a ticket from the category “with GA” if you own this train subscription from SBB. Halbtax (Half fare), GA Night and local transportation subscriptions are irrelevant for our events.

Refund policy

Please understand that ESN Bern cannot issue refunds on any tickets sold due to multiple reasons. You are allowed to resell the ticket for the same price to fellow students / ESN members (with the same train reductions). Please note that selling tickets with a profit is forbidden.

Also note that the illness insurance is provided by Eventfrog and ESN has nothing to do with it.
