Zürich Moon Circle - New Moon in Libra - The Anointing

This is Zürich Moon Circle, a fortnightly gathering for women and femmes to get off our phones, make some actual time for ourselves, connect with other women, and do something a little different with a Friday night.

We're meeting on Friday, 9 October, the night before the New Moon in Libra, which is exact on 10 October at 17°22'.

Libra is a relational sign. It’s interested in what happens between us: how we meet, what we exchange, what we give and receive, what we negotiate, and how two separate people create something together while still remaining themselves.

At its best, Libra shows us that relationship can be somewhere we are met, not somewhere we disappear.

So this New Moon brings up two questions I keep coming back to:

What does it feel like to be genuinely met?

And what changes when reciprocity becomes something you can actually receive?

Venus, Libra's ruler, is retrograde in Scorpio, adding another layer. Venus speaks to value, beauty, desire, pleasure and relationship. Scorpio takes those things beneath the surface, into intimacy, trust and the things we don't always find easy to name.

That makes this a beautiful moment to explore not only what we give in relationship, but what we allow ourselves to receive.

Appreciation. Attention. Care. Beauty. Being witnessed. Being wanted. Being met without immediately needing to earn it, explain it or return it.

Sometimes reciprocity gets distorted. Giving becomes easier than receiving. Compromise becomes automatic. We get very good at meeting other people without noticing whether we're being met too.

This circle is interested in what becomes possible when the exchange can move both ways.

WHAT IS ZÜRICH MOON CIRCLE?

Zürich Moon Circle is a fortnightly gathering for women and femmes in Zürich, held around the New and Full Moons.

We use astrology as a lens, not a rulebook, and bring it down into actual lived experience through meditation, somatic release, movement, creativity, ritual, reflection, connection and dance.

No two circles are exactly the same because no two lunations are exactly the same.

We meet every two weeks to put our phones away, step out of everything that needs doing and make some actual time for ourselves. It's a chance to meet other women, make friends and build community by continuing to show up in the same room together.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE CIRCLE?

We open with grounding and a practical breakdown of the New Moon in Libra and what its astrology might bring up for you.

From there, we move through:

• A bespoke guided meditation created specifically for this lunation

• Somatic release and embodied movement

• Working with voice and sound

• A creative rose ritual that unfolds across the evening

• A collective anointing centred on beauty, receiving and being seen

• Journalling and reflection

• A dance party to close

Some circles are quiet. Some are cathartic. Some are unexpectedly funny. It depends on who's in the room and what the moon is doing.
