Frankenstein

Adapted by Nick Dear. Based on the novel by Mary Shelly.

Childlike in his innocence but grotesque in form, Frankenstein’s bewildered creature is cast out into a hostile universe by his horror-struck maker. Meeting with cruelty wherever he goes, the increasingly desperate and vengeful Creature determines to track down his creator and strike a terrifying deal. The play premiered at the National Theatre in London in 2011, directed by Danny Boyle.

Run time is approximately two hours and ten minutes plus one twenty-minute intermission.

All performances are in English.

This production contains horror themes, death and gore, as well as use of stage blood, smoke effects, strobe lighting and loud sound effects and music.
