This is (No) Mozart offers a completely new perspective on one of the most iconic classical works. During this concert performance, Mozart’s Symphony in G minor will be performed in full (in a version for nine instruments), but between each of its four movements… a movement from a work for electronics and acoustic ensemble will slip in—blending violins and oboes with percussion and digital sounds!
This contemporary composition draws inspiration from Mozart, borrowing some of his themes and motifs, while at the same time offering a striking contrast for the listener. Rather than transporting the audience to the 18th century, this reimagining lovingly immerses the venerable symphony in a bold and modern context. It’s an unexpected point of view that above all highlights the timelessness and modernity of the great Austrian composer.
In tune with our era, the concert combines light and sound, projecting the audience into a visual universe that symbolizes each artist’s journey: a sense of wonder, mingled with deep respect, toward an immensity whose boundaries they strive vainly to grasp.
