Trholz is a riot grrrl band based in Toulouse, France, arising from the city’s growing queercore punk underground. Formed in late 2022, they self-released their debut EP Première Pierre on cassette in 2023 and quickly took to the road, playing shows across Europe. Two years later, they return with Interlude, mixed and mastered by Kevin Gumz, and notably the last release to feature drummer Opal.
While often labeled as riot grrrl, Trholz operate at a slower, more oppressive frequency than the genre’s usual urgency.
