OSOMO – SUNSETHORIZONTAL CONCERT – TRANSPORTIVE MUSIC

• A protected historic site – normally closed to the public – opening its gates for an OSOMO Horizontal Concert

OSOMO’s live "Horizontal Concerts" create a one-of-a-kind space to lie down and reconnect with yourself. Enjoy sunset, bring your picnic, lying mat and make yourself comfortable for a musical journey.

Different from an entertaining concert or a breath workshop, the Horizontal Concert is an embodied music introspection to witness the personal process of reconnecting with yourself, listening deeply into yourself, to invite peaceful rest and to empower your self-compassion through listening.

Timetable

• 18:00 Park opens for a picnic in the park (please bring your own)
• 19:30 Start Horizontal Concert

Important

• Please bring your own lying mat, pillow, warm blanket, picnic, iso mat – anything you need for your own comfort. 
• This event is suitable for people above the age of 12.
• Please note that smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the entire park due to the ongoing dry conditions and the high risk of fire.

Weather & Backup Date

• The event will only take place in dry weather. Ticket holders will be informed by email 24 hours prior the event.
• In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed to Saturday, September 5th 2026. The timetable remains the same.
• Tickets remain valid for the backup date. If you are unable to attend on the new date, you are welcome to transfer or gift your ticket to someone else.
• If weather conditions are also unsuitable on the backup date, the event will be cancelled. Participants will again be informed by email 24 hours in advance.
• Ticket refunds: If the event has to be cancelled due to weather or natural conditions (such as thunderstorms, rain, snow, blocked paths, car breakdowns, etc.) and no suitable alternative is available, all ticket payments will be refunded, excluding the Eventfrog booking fee (CHF 0.49). This fee cannot be refunded.
   

Getting to the venue

• The venue is located on the Zürichberg, easily accessible by public transport (around 15–20 minutes from Zürich HB), in one of Zurich's most beautiful private parks.
• The exact address will be shared with ticket holders prior to the event.
   

Parking

• No parking is available. We recommend travelling by public transport or bicycle.

About OSOMO

The music of OSOMO creates spaces of pause, retreat and contemplation. Moving away from the fast-paced outside world towards the inside world. OSOMO counters our hectic zeitgeist with an invitation to a journey. Conceived as «transportive music», it forms a sonic environment in which listeners can enter, move and stay in their own thoughts, feelings and physical sensations. It is a journey that leads to different places for each person.

The OSOMO live sets, the Horizontal Concerts offer a musical and physical space for being, for lying down, for dreaming, for sleeping - from letting go to the most concentrated, deepest listening. OSOMO is music that embraces you, simultaneously carries you away, and offers an experience that is both mysterious and challenging: «What happens to us when we are touched by music - whether in our bodies or our minds - remains mysterious. I have always been in search of that moment when music can change the way you feel.»

OSOMO is the solo project of musician Simon Baumann (drummer in the band of Stephan Eicher, collaborations with Colin Vallon, Mario Batkovic, Don Li and others). He will release his debut album Side Trips on the label Two Gentlemen on 5 May 2023. Baumann picks up on our hectic zeitgeist in the form of acoustic pulses - «My instrument is rhythm,» he says. Waves of sounds are arranged from one sequence to the next. The textures are mostly electronic, with interludes of trombone, vibraphone, old drums, and samples of speech. The waves articulate themselves in different dynamics: they advance, they flow back and forth, they interpenetrate. When they break, they are slow or fast, but always powerful. Sequences of melody alternate with resting spheres.
