Letting go of control is scary. It doesn’t need to be. It can be exciting.
By doing clowning exercises that focus on embracing uncertainty, we learn to see it that way. Not merely in an intellectual way but a visceral way. Such is the nature of physical comedy that we feel it throughout our whole bodies. Come and spend three hours learning how to be comfortable being uncomfortable with the Bone Man himself, experienced teacher and comedian Andy Casper.
This workshop is suitable for anyone regardless of performing experience although it will be particularly useful for performers who spend time on stage in front of an audience (stand up comedians, clowns, improv performers, actors, public speakers, dancers, etc.). The workshop will involve some physical activity so please come dressed in comfortable clothing that is easy to move around in.

About Andy:
Multiple Barcelona Comedy Award winner, stand up & clown Andy Casper is an English comedian known for his playful and unique approach to comedy. He has created many shows in his adopted home town of Barcelona over his 8 year career (Imprfcto Comedy, WWYDITWY?, The Sadness Cabaret, Uranus Comedy, Nonsense Pudding, Relentless Joy, Brexico, Donut Brain). He has been a regular presence at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival since 2022, where his clown show Bone Man Rides Again has developed a dedicated cult following. His debut stand up comedy hour Gremlin Head was released on Youtube in 2025.
Andy has a passion for the mysterious art form known as ‘’clowning’’ in which the funny combines with the beautiful and the barrier between performer and audience breaks down. Since 2022, he has intensively studied this poetic discipline with many of the best contemporary teachers in the world including: Aitor Basauri, Dan Lees, Toby Park, Gabriel Chame, Peta Lily, Kiva Murphy, Angel Bonora, Ale Risorio, Piotr Sikora, Viggo Venn, Josh Glanc, and Daniel Maseda. Combining his 12 years experience as a classroom teacher with this new found passion, he has become a clown teacher himself. He now runs a regular 8 week introductory course in Barcelona as well as occasional weekend intensives and one off shorter sessions. He is the director of the Comedy Schoolhouse, the educational wing of Barcelona’s most well known comedy club (the Comedy Clubhouse).
Payment for the workshop will be on a donation basis. The suggested donation amount is 40 - 70CHF. If lack of money is the only reason you are unable to attend, there are guestlist spaces available at the comedy club's discretion. Email thebeastcomedyclub@gmail.com to be guestlisted.
