Conference “Geopolitics of Migration: Ukraine as an Example”.

Together with SWISS UMEF University of Applied Sciences Institute, we are conducting "Apéro Géopolitique" - an independent discussion platform with experts with different points of view on important geopolitical topics in an informal setting. Our goal is to deepen and broaden knowledge and understanding of the processes taking place on the planet.
This conference is organised in collaboration with the Geneva Center for Security Policy Alumni.
The topic of the conference: "Geopolitics of Migration: Ukraine as an Example".
Today, international migrations affect approximately 281 million people (UN, 2022), and are at the heart of contemporary geopolitical issues. Climate-related migration, expected to reach 200 to 250 million by 2050, will further exacerbate this pressure. The close links between armed conflicts and mass exile—in Syria, Afghanistan, and Ukraine—are disrupting the internal dynamics of host countries, fueling identity debates, political tensions, and the rise of extremism. At a time when borders are hardening and opinions are becoming more radical, the geopolitics of migration is a stark reflection of the world's fractures.

Apero Geopolitique conference will be an opportunity to discuss this topic.
