Alessandro’s Golfreise begann mit gerade einmal 12 Jahren, als er überraschend beim Menaggio Pro-Am in Italien einspringen durfte – und dabei direkt mit dem italienischen Profi Giuseppe Cali spielte. Dieser Tag hat einen bleibenden Eindruck hinterlassen und seine Leidenschaft für den Golfsport entfacht.
Nach Erfolgen als Junior und ersten internationalen Einsätzen für die Schweizer Nationalmannschaft führte ihn sein Weg ins Ausland: zuerst nach Italien, dann in die USA, und schließlich nach Australien, wo er Leistungssport und Studium miteinander kombinierte.
