AFTER AN INTENSIVE WORKSHOP OF 6 HOURS, THE PARTICIPANTS WILL PERFORM "CHAIRS" AT CET STUDIO!
Improvisational Theatre Long Form. We will enter the world of “Chairs”, a long form of improvisational theatre combining comedy, physical theatre, images, abstract and concrete, and, obviously, chairs. Within the spacial confines a chair provides, the actors discover the freedom to creatively stage stories, worlds, find patterns and universal images throughout the use of the body, voice, monologues, repetitions and improvisation. We will connect with our creative impulses on stage in a safe environment where judgment and fears, right and wrong are left outside. All this using chairs in groups, exploring what a chair can offer and how it can inspire our imagination. On the one hand, this project offers an excellent training framework for actors to work on listening, accepting, sensitivity, timing, use of the body, being present and responsive, on the other it makes for a fascinating stage production for an ensemble, which is different every night.
