The scientific symposium “Microbes – Connecting Environment and Health” brings together leading researchers from the Clusters of Excellence (EXC) “Balance of the Microverse” (Friedrich Schiller University of Jena), “Controlling Microbes to Fight Infections” (University of Tübingen), and “RESIST – Resolving Infection Susceptibility” (Hannover Medical School).
We are pleased to welcome distinguished speakers, including Prof. Dr. Dusan Bogunovic from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Prof. Dr. Wolf-Dietrich Hardt from ETH Zurich, and Prof. Dr. Maria Vehreschild from the Frankfurt University Hospital.
The thematic focus areas of the symposium are:
- Antimicrobial resistance and new solutions
- Resilience of microbial communities
- Susceptibility to infections
- Microbiome and health
Furthermore, on the evening of the first symposium day, there will be a public fishbowl discussion in German (18:30-20:15).
