Nothing Great About Britain LUZERN - English Comedy Tour

Have you or your ancestors been hurt by the British? Statistically speaking, yes. Following a rough break-up in 2016, it's been a lot of bad news for the not-so-United Kingdom. Join two top comedians that met in 2018 on the London comedy scene, Jamie Allerton (Liverpool) and Teddy Hall (Glasgow)-each from cities that are are only "British" in the eyes of the law- as they tour through Switzerland trying to figure out how to save Hell Island and if it's even worth saving. Consider it a British Empire Apology Tour.

The show takes place at the home of English Comedy in Luzern, Gewerbehalle. The address is Baselstrasse 46, 6003 Luzern. The whole show takes place in English.

About the comedians:

Teddy Hall

Since learning his trade as a comedian in London, Teddy has been performing across Europe for years, exciting audiences with an unpredictable and quick-witted brand of comedy all about language, mental health, sexuality, and dentists. In his base of Basel, Switzerland, he has founded and runs On The Run Comedy Club and co-produces and hosts Comic Strip, a variety show renowned for its beautiful chaos. Headlining shows across Europe and featuring on television in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and Romania, Teddy's comedy veers from the profound to the inane to the stupid, keeping audiences on their toes, despite this being a very uncomfortable way to sit. Teddy was nominated for a Swiss Comedy Award (and lost) and has also featured on Comedy Central DE Roast Battle. Teddy has opened for Victor Patrascan, Dragos, Ashley Gavin, Robby Slowik, Casey Balsham, TJ, Daniel Ryan Spaulding, Anna Beros, Emma Dalenberg, Gauri B and many more.

Jamie Allerton

Hailing from Liverpool and having performed for nearly a decade, Jamie combines an acerbic wit with likeability commonplace to Northern storytellers. Having performed in America, Vienna and Barcelona amongst others, he is able to paint hilarious stories of fights in Toby Carvery and bumping into exes in the supermarket reduced aisle, making his routines relatable to audiences of all backgrounds, countries, or food shopping preferences. He can be regularly seen performing at some of the biggest clubs in the UK, including Backyard, Top Secret, and Hot Water Comedy Club, and hosts the comedy film podcast The Best Movie 2, which for some reason is doing very well in Norway. 

Jamie made it to the finals of the Liverpool Echo New Comedian and So You Think You're Funny competitions, and has opened for the likes of Eshaan Akbar, Ed Gamble, and Nish Kumar.
