LEONARDO PRAKASH - un artiste exceptionnel venant du Mexique, virtuose du sitar - revient à Genève pour nous enchanter à nouveau avec sa musique mystique, nous emmenant dans un voyage de l'âme exprimé par le sitar. 

L'ARTISTE

☽ Leonardo Prakash est un musicien franco-mexicain formé à la guitare et au sitar dans sa jeunesse, puis à la harpe, à la flûte et au jarana jarocha. Sa voix unique a transcendé les bases traditionnelles de sa formation musicale. Sa musique expérimente la fusion des sons de ces instruments dans le flamenco, le raag indien et la musique folklorique d'Amérique latine, de Turquie, du Japon, du Moyen-Orient et d'Afrique de l'Est.

☽ En 2013, Prakash a obtenu la bourse FONCA (Fonds national pour la culture et les arts) pour les jeunes artistes (2013). En 2017, le FONCA lui a accordé une bourse spéciale pour l'enregistrement de son premier album solo produit à Madrid.

☽ En écoutant la musique mystique de Leo Prakash, nous baignons dans la conscience de l'Univers. Les chants d'unité, de passion, de guérison et d'éternité résonnent au plus profond de nos cœurs et de nos âmes.

LEONARDO PRAKASH - a French-Mexican musician/composer with a truly unique style - is returning to Geneva to enchant us again with his mystical music, taking us on a journey of the soul expressed by sitar. 

THE ARTIST
☽ Leo Prakash is born in San Luis Potosí, but of Franco-Mexican origins. Leonardo grew up with a bicultural education and exposed to music since the age of 5. He studied classical guitar from the age of 10 to 14, when he moved to Punjab, India, to finish his high school studies. There he discovered the Sitar, which from that moment became his priority in music. Returning from India, he went to live in the Riviera Maya, where he met Bogdan Djukic (violin) and Jesus Mejia (guitar). Together they created Bole, a musical project that led them to perform in Europe, the United States, Canada and Mexico. After receiving a scholarship for young creators from FONCA in 2013, Leonardo undertook PRAKASH, his solo project. In 2017, the same institution granted him a special support grant that allows him to record his first solo album in Madrid. Since then, PRAKASH has been a personal journey of reconnecting with music as something sacred; the desire to expand that connection by creating the space, the experience.

☽ Leonardo Prakash's unique musical voice has transcended his traditional foundations. His music experiments with the fusion of the intrinsic sounds of these instruments into classic rock and roll, flamenco, Indian raag, and the folk music of Latin America, Turkey, Japan, the Middle Eastern and East Africa.

☽ As we listen to the mystical music by Leo Prakash, we bathe in the consciousness of the Universe. Songs of unity, passion, belonging, healing and eternity resonate deep in our hearts and our souls.
