Where art and knowledge meet to open a conversation on the menstrual cycle and explore it as a compass rather than a hindrance.
The Menstrual Festival Zürich 2026 is a week of talks, panels, workshops and art happening at Labör in Zürich for menstruators and non-menstruators alike.
Across the festival, artists, practitioners and experts will explore the menstrual cycle through different lenses — including body literacy, sport, creativity, nutrition, body image and lived experience.
ART
At the heart of the festival is a photographic series by Maja Juzwiak, founder of unboxing cycles, created with ten women across Switzerland to symbolically portray the four phases of the menstrual cycle through the seasons of nature.
The resulting 40 photographs reveal changing inner landscapes, emotions and energies across the cycle, and will be displayed throughout the festival space.
Additional artworks, knowledge-sharing corners and selected creative and informative sessions will transform the festival into a learning platform for all ages - menstruating or not.
