Unverstärkter Softrock aus Südafrika mit Gesang, Akustikgitarren & Cello
Die Rockband Macstanley aus Kapstadt, Südafrika, entstand auf ungewöhnliche Weise: Die Freunde Andy und Clinton hatten nur einen einzigen Song, als sie an einem Songwriting-Wettbewerb teilnahmen – und prompt gewannen. Die darauffolgenden Auftrittsanfragen sorgten zunächst für Panik, doch mit Neil, der dringend benötigte Bühnenerfahrung mitbrachte, war das Trio komplett.
Von diesem Wendepunkt an schrieb Macstanley eine beeindruckende Erfolgsgeschichte: drei Studioalben, Tourneen durch Südafrika und Europa sowie unvergessliche Momente als Support für Rockgrössen wie Counting Crows, Collective Soul und Foreigner.
In dieser besonderen Show präsentiert Macstanley eine intime, akustische Unplugged-Version ihrer besten Songs – mit Gesang, zwei Akustikgitarren und einem Cello. Für Clinton ist es zudem eine Art Heimkehr, denn die ersten sechs Jahre seines Lebens verbrachte er in der Schweiz, in Gossau SG.
