In this hands-on workshop, participants will build their own dub siren synthesizer, based on the renowned Golden Acapulco Dub Siren circuit developed by Oficina de Sonido.
The design features:
•Built-in analog delay, ideal for creating deep echoes and psychedelic atmospheres.
•External audio input, allowing you to process other instruments through the delay for greater versatility.
•Three selectable modulation shapes, providing a wide range of effects and sound textures.
•Dedicated controls for pitch, rate, and modulation depth, enabling you to sculpt your sound.
•PCB with pre-soldered SMD components, making assembly easy—even for those new to DIY electronics.
During the workshop, you will learn the basics of sound synthesis and effects processing within the context of dub. By the end, you will have a fully functional siren, ready to use in your sets, recordings, or live performances.
No previous electronics experience is required. We will guide you step by step, explaining every part of the process and circuit.
The workshop fee includes all materials; participants only need to bring a soldering iron
