Das FIFA Museum erweitert die geschichtliche Aufarbeitung des Frauenfussballs um ein weiteres Kapitel. Vom 3. Juni bis zum 17. August wird in einer Pop-up-Ausstellung in Zürich die Geschichte des Frauenfussballs in der Schweiz erzählt.

In der Ausstellung werden die Gegenwart des aktuellen Schweizer Nationalteams und die Leistungen der Pionierinnen miteinander verflochten. Ausgewählte Objekte schaffen dabei Verbindungen zwischen damals und heute. Ausgestellt werden unter anderem ein Holzteller von Madeleine Boll, den sie 1965 als Entschädigung für den Entzug ihrer Spielerlizenz erhielt, sowie das Captainarmband von Lia Wälti, das sie im Nations-League-Spiel der Schweiz gegen Frankreich am 4. April 2025 trug.

Zusätzlich werden die Biografien und Karrieren von 14 einflussreichen Persönlichkeiten aus dem Schweizer Frauenfussball, darunter Béatrice von Siebenthal, Ana-Maria Crnogorčević und Iman Beney, auf einem interaktiven Touchscreen präsentiert.

Diese Biografien schaffen einen persönlichen Zugang zur gut hundertjährigen Geschichte des Frauenfussballs in der Schweiz, die in Form einer digitalen Zeitleiste die Besucherinnen und Besucher mit auf eine Reise in die Vergangenheit nimmt.

Die Pop-up-Ausstellung „Here to Play – The History of Women’s Football in Switzerland” ist im Museumseintritt enthalten und kann vom 3. Juni bis zum 17. August 2025 besucht werden.
