What are event series and how do I use them wisely?

An event series comprises several events that have the same content and can be regarded as regular events: for example, the Queer Night every first Friday of the month or the Sunday church service.

For you as an organiser, the event series is easy to use and has the advantage that you can create an event that you can turn into a series.

Event series are also clearly labelled for ticket buyers as part of an event group and a regular event in the calendar:

Now you can set how regularly the events in your series should take place: daily, weekly or monthly.

Depending on the setting, you will be given various options.

You can also set whether your series ends on a specific date or after a certain number of events.

If you select «Weekly», you can set whether your event takes place every week or every few weeks. You can choose the number of weeks yourself.

You can also specify on which day of the week the event should take place.

You can select several days. This makes sense for the weekly market, for example, which takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

If you select  «Monthly», you can specify whether events in this series should take place every month or at greater intervals.

You can also set whether they should take place on a specific day, e.g. every 7th day, or at a different frequency.

The events can also take place every first Friday of the month.

The entire series can end on a selected date or after a certain number of dates.

Save your selection by clicking the button labelled «Continue to next step».

You can see your event series in the event overview in the cockpit. Here you can view and edit the "Group". Each event series represents a group. You can find out more about event groups here >

You can edit the entire event group and individual events. Please note that you still have to publish the individual events so that they are visible online.
