Test event and preview: Can I test my event before publication?

There are two ways to view and test your event. If you want to know what your event will look like once it has been published on the platform, use the «Preview» function for your event.

Please note: Here you can only see a preview of your event. The event is displayed as «sold out», which means that no ticket purchases can be tested.

Create test version for purchase process

There is currently no test mode for the purchase process, but with the right measures the purchase process can still be simulated without a transaction.

It is best not to use the original event, but a copy of the desired event.

Instructions for the test event to try out the purchase process:

1. copy the event you want to test (instructions Copy event).

2. Edit the event and go to and go to «Visibility and display». Now tick the box " Do not show in the event list". This means that the event can only be found via a link after publication. Please note: This is a Plus function, which means that the Plus model fees will be charged for the sale of tickets for this event.

3. Publish the event now.

4. Click on «Show event» at the top right.

5. Now select the tickets you want and go to «Checkout».

6. Now you can select a payment method.

7. Cancel the purchase process now. Otherwise fees will be charged and you will no longer be able to make the event invisible or delete it.

8. Then unpublish the event in the cockpit by editing it again and clicking on the button «Hide Event» in the top right-hand corner.

If you no longer need this test event, you can delete it directly in the event overview on the right-hand side by clicking on the delete symbol.

Important: This is only possible if no ticket purchase was completed during the test. If the ticket purchase was completed, the event must be cancelled under «Sales start, stop, cancellation».

You can find out what changes you can make to your event after the first ticket sale here: Possible adjustments after publication, the first ticket sale or after blocking tickets >
