Can I sell tickets directly on site?

Yes. You can also sell tickets directly at your event – for example, for door sales on the day or evening of the event. You have several options for this.

Selling tickets via ‘Presale’

With the ‘Presale’ function in the Cockpit, you can sell tickets on site and take payment directly.

To do this, open ‘Presale’ and select ‘Presell tickets’ for the event you want. Then choose the ticket category and the number of tickets, and click ‘Sell now’.

If you’ve set up personalisation for your event, it will also be requested during the presale – unless it’s only activated for online purchases. After the sale, you can:

  • check the tickets in directly,
  • print them or
  • send them by email.

For door sales, ‘Check in directly’ is particularly handy: the ticket sold is checked in for admission straight away and doesn’t need to be scanned separately.

Important: With presale, payment is made directly to you, for example in cash. It isn’t a regular online purchase via Eventfrog. This means buyers won’t receive an automatic order confirmation or a proof of purchase from Eventfrog.

Selling tickets via QR code

Alternatively, you can display your event’s QR code at the door. Visitors scan it with their smartphone and buy their ticket online themselves. You’ll find the QR code in the Cockpit under ‘Short URL, embed’. Make sure online sales are still open. You can set the sales period under ‘Sales start, stop, cancellation’.

Printing tickets in advance

If you don’t have a computer or printer on site, you can create and print available tickets before the event via ‘Presale’. Presold tickets are deducted directly from the available allocation and can no longer be bought online.

Cashless payments on site

With Eventfrog Cashless, you can also accept cashless payments for your door sales.
