In spring 2026, more than 430 activists set sail with the Global Sumud Flotilla towards Gaza: carrying humanitarian aid and with the goal of breaking Israel's naval blockade of the Gaza Strip. A hopeful mission that was nonetheless violently stopped by the Israeli navy. The activists were illegally intercepted in international waters and abducted.

Adrien, a Freiburg resident, sailed aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla in the spring and will speak about his experiences: about his motivation to join, about the hopes and questions that accompanied him, about what comes next, and much more. There will be space for questions, exchange, and discussion.
