🌞 ESN Fribourg goes Ticino – Weekend Trip 🇨🇭

📍 What?

A 3-day ESN weekend to the sunny south of Switzerland!
We’ll explore Lugano, visit Locarno and Ascona, swim in the famous turquoise waters of Valle Verzasca (If the weather is good) (also please be careful since Valle Verzasca can be a bit dangerous otherwise!), enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Lugano, and party together with ESN Lugano, ESN Winterthur & ESN Genève 🎉

👉 Meeting point:

• 🕐 May 1st: 13:10 at Fribourg main station ( please be on time!)
• It will be a 3,5 h train ride to Lugano

📍 Where?

• Accommodation: Montarina Hostel in Lugano
• Activities across:
  • Lugano 🌊
  • Locarno ☀️
  • Ascona 🌴
  • Valle Verzasca 🏞️

📅 When?

Friday → Sunday (weekend trip)

• Friday: Arrival, city walk & → Pizza dinner with ESN Genève & ESN Lugano → Big ESN party afterwards🎉🔥
• Saturday: Locarno + Ascona + Valle Verzasca & Free Time
• Sunday: Boat trip & relax before departure 🚤

⚠️ Important notes

• Space in hostel rooms is limited → don’t overpack
• There will be lockers for valuable items
• Valle Verzasca water is cold and amazing, but please be careful as it can get dangerous!
• You’ll walk a lot → take comfortable shoes

Tickets are non-refundable!

To sign up, please provide your phone number so that we can add you to the WhatsApp group chat. It is essential for exchanging important information before and during the trip! We will use your phone numbers only for this weekend, and then this information will be erased. 

Dinner (Pizza night) on friday is provided by us. Other than that we/the hostel do not provide any meals! However we will give you many cheap and good suggestions to get food :)

Regarding the group train tickets: there are unfortunately certain age restrictions, which is why we have to currently limit the number of participants over the age of 25 years old. We are very sorry for that!
