Tale Chasers: A Work in Progress Comedy Show

Albert Louw and Ivan Semashev invite you to an evening of stand-up comedy and barely believable stories!

About the acts:

Ivan is a comedian, actor, and producer based in Basel, Switzerland. While starting out in theatre, he dove into stand-up comedy in 2018 and has been pursuing it ever since. He has performed in English and Russian at shows throughout Europe and occasionally outside of it, most notably at clubs like ComedyHaus in Zürich, the Comedy Clubhouse in Barcelona, or The Classic Comedy Club in Auckland. He is the co-creator and organiser of Otter Comedy in Basel, where he regularly hosts and performs. He has shared the stage with and opened for many international acts, such as Matt Richardson, April Macie, Sammy Obeid, Peter Flanagan, Sid Singh, Red Richardson, and Victor Patrascan. Ivan is energetic, passionate, and has a vast sense of humour - from contemporary satire, to personal family anecdotes (some of which may even veer into some darker places). Whatever the topic is, be prepared to be taken on an emotional roller coaster of laughs!

Albert brings his mad world to the stage. Born and raised in Johannesburg South Africa, he is filled with unusual tales and odd perspective of life. His performances, like his clothes, are psychedelic energetic and eccentric. Currently based in Basel Switzerland, where he runs and hosts several comedy shows. He started comedy in 2018 and has since shared the stage with international acts like Arthur Smith, Janine Harouni, Sid Singh and Barry Hilton just to mention a few.

This show will be held at the Beast Comedy Club, (Pfluggässlein 10, 4001 Basel), entirely in English. This is a free-entry show with donations taken at the end. All the donations will go directly to supporting the artists and the comedy club.
