How can I presell or generate tickets myself as an event organiser?
With the ‘Presell tickets’ function, you can create and issue tickets for your event yourself. This is handy if, for example, you want to sell tickets in person, send them by email or print them out.
You’ll find this function in the main menu of your Cockpit under ‘Presale’.

How to create tickets
- In your Cockpit, open ‘Presale’ in the menu on the left.
- For the event you want, select ‘Presell tickets’.
- Choose the ticket category and the number of tickets you need.
- Click ‘Sell now’.
- If your tickets require personalisation, enter the necessary details.
Your tickets have now been created.
What can I do with the tickets I’ve created?
Once you’ve created the tickets, you can decide what happens with them:
- Print tickets: For example, you can hand them over in person or send them by post.
- Send tickets by email: Enter the email address you want and send the tickets directly.
- Check tickets in directly: If the person is already on site, you can check the ticket in straight away for admission.
- Cancel the sale: If you’ve created tickets by mistake, you can cancel the booking.
Are the tickets deducted from the available allocation?
Yes. As soon as you create tickets via ‘Presell tickets’, they count as sold. This means they’re no longer available in the online ticket shop. For events with a seating plan, the corresponding seats are also shown as sold or reserved.
Do I actually have to sell the tickets?
No. You can also use this function if you simply want to generate tickets yourself and pass them on. Please note, however, that Eventfrog technically treats these tickets as presold tickets. They are therefore deducted from your available ticket allocation.
How is the process handled?
With the ‘Presale’ function, you can sell tickets or give them away free of charge, for example to sponsors or partners. If you sell them, you organise the payment yourself, for example directly on site. Payment is not processed via Eventfrog.
No proof of purchase is available to download for tickets you create using this function.
Do buyers receive an order confirmation?
No. For tickets you create yourself via ‘Presell tickets’, buyers don’t receive a regular order confirmation. If you’d like to send the ticket by email, you can select ‘Send tickets now’ after creating it.
Can I create tickets before the official sales start?
Yes. You can presell tickets yourself before your event has been published or before regular online presale has started.
Can I also use the function for door sales on the day or evening of the event?
Yes. Via ‘Presale’, you can also sell tickets directly on site and use the function for door sales on the day or evening of the event.
