SYNESTHETIC THINKING
My artistic practice embodies a way of thinking that is not only anchored in the head but spreads throughout the body like the tentacles of an octopus. I explore groping and doubting formats that make it possible to experience knowledge beyond language. I strive neither for creativity nor for representation, but to be life without reproducing it, and to create art without seeing it as mere “production” The driving force behind my work is always the same question: how can theoretical and poetic knowledge be combined in such a complementary way that they transcend each other in Bataille’s sense and create new spaces for thought and action?
Before studying art at the HSLU, I studied theater studies and philosophy at the University of Bern.
My artistic work attempts to move along the boundaries between these two disciplines and constantly explores them anew.

In der Flüchtigkeit dieser inneren Phänomene liegt eine eigene Form von Beständigkeit, die sich der materiellen Festschreibung entzieht. Die Bilder verweilen in diesem Zwischenraum – dort, wo das Erkennbare das Sichtbare übersteigt und die Grenze zwischen innen und aussen durchlässig wird.
Die Bilder, welche ich im Mehrspur ausstelle, zeigen diese teils inneren, flüchtigen Phänomene oder skizzieren Beobachtungen aus meiner Mit-Welt. Sie sind Teil einer spezifischen Auseinandersetzung mit Wahrnehmung und Erkenntnis, während sich andere meiner künstlerischen Arbeiten meist an der Schnittstelle von Theorie und Praxis bewegen.”
