This Benefit Film Screening brings people together through cinema.
All proceeds support Cultural and Humanitarian Projects in Palestine (details below).
The event opens with coffee and a short introduction, followed by the screening, a Q&A With Director Carol Mansour, and a Reception & Apéro at the Filmpodium Bar and Foyer.
ABOUT THE FILM - www.aidareturns.com
Aida Returns is a deeply moving documentary that follows director Carol Mansour as she accompanies her mother Aida through Alzheimer’s disease, the pain of losing a parent, and an extraordinary final journey back to Yafa, the city where Aida was born and raised. Determined to offer her mother Peace and Dignity, Mansour engineers a return that should have been simple, yet becomes profoundly complex — made possible only through the unexpected Solidarity of Friends and Strangers.
At its heart, Aida Returns is a tribute to a Family’s Lost Past and an intimate attempt to restore fragments of Individual and Collective Memory. The film stands as a poetic affirmation of Palestinians forced into Exile and denied the Right to Return to their hometowns — even after death.
