Aurea Terra bietet die großen instrumentalen Traditionen des kontinentalen Südostasiens dar: der thailändische Piphat, der kambodschanische Pinpeat und der burmesische Hsaing Waing; Musik, die selten auf den Bühnen im Westen zu hören sind. Als Debussy bei der Exposition Universelle 1889 in Paris erstmals javanischer Gamelanmusik begegnete, veränderte sich sein Verständnis von Harmonie für immer. Dieses Programm beginnt mit der Begegnung dieser musikalischen Kulturen, voll zum Ausdruck gebracht in La Mer. Das Linos Piano Trio tritt auf mit Weerakit Suwanphithak auf traditionellen thailändischen Streichinstrumenten, neben Musik von Bartók, Chinary Ung und einer neuen Uraufführung von Prach Boondiskulchok.
