Caterina Westphal hat schon immer die Verbindung unterschiedlicher musikalischer Welten interessiert, denn sie liebt nicht nur die klassische Musik, sondern auch Rock, Pop und Elektro.
Sie ist Sängerin, Komponistin und Autorin, schreibt jede Menge Songs und Musik für Film- und Fernsehproduktionen, aber auch orchestrale Kindermusiktheaterstücke zum Beispiel für den Kinderchor der Staatsoper. Während ihre ersten Alben noch von Britpop und Beatmusik inspiriert wurden, lebt sie nun in ihrem neuesten Werk ELIXIER ihre Leidenschaft fürs Orchestrale voll aus. So schrieb sie alle Orchesterarrangements selbst und produzierte das Album gemeinsam mit Thommy Krawallo.
Während die Band in der Besetzung Gitarre, Bass und Schlagzeug die Basis liefert, wird im Konzert der Orchesterpart von einem Streichquartett übernommen.
