Anlässlich des 25-jährigen Vereinsjubiläums lädt der Verein Die Altstädter e.V. zu einem besonderen musikalischen Höhepunkt ein: Am Samstag, dem 24. Oktober 2026, gastiert das renommierte polnische Ensemble Kroke in der St. Gotthardtkirche in Brandenburg an der Havel.
Seit ihrer Gründung im Jahr 1992 durch die drei Absolventen der Krakauer Musikakademie – Tomasz Kukurba, Jerzy Bawoł und Tomasz Lato – steht die Band Kroke (jiddisch für „Krakau“) für einen einzigartigen, grenzüberschreitenden Sound. Ausgehend von traditioneller Klezmer-Musik verbindet das Trio virtuos Elemente aus Balkan-Folklore, Orient, Jazz, Klassik und freier Improvisation. Mit ihrer mitreißenden Dynamik und emotionalen Tiefe begeistert die Band seit Jahrzehnten weltweite Publikumsscharen und faszinierte bereits Größen wie Steven Spielberg, Peter Gabriel und Nigel Kennedy.
In der atmosphärischen Kulisse der St. Gotthardtkirche verschmelzen die virtuosen Instrumentalklänge von Bratsche, Akkordeon und Kontrabass mit der besonderen Akustik des sakralen Raumes zu einem intensiven Konzerterlebnis.
