Es ist eine der großartigsten und artenreichsten Landschaften Europas: das Donaudelta und die Steppen der Dobrudscha. Für Dr. Christoph Robiller ist das 5.800 km² große Mosaik aus Wasserarmen, Sümpfen, Auwäldern, maritimen Sandbänken und Inseln ein Sehnsuchtsort. 1996 erkundet er das Gebiet erstmals per Faltboot. Seither ist er über 20 Mal zurückgekehrt, hat über 45 Wochen in den weiten, unzugänglichen Schilfgebieten verbracht, wo er mit einer Mischung aus unerschütterlicher Geduld, technischem Verständnis und großem Respekt vor der Umwelt zahlreiche seltene Tiere beobachtete. Ermäßigt: Für Schüler, Auszubildende, Studenten, Arbeitslose, Sozialhilfeempfänger und Schwerbehinderte. Begleitpersonen erhalten freien Eintritt, soweit dies im Schwerbeschädigtenausweis eingetragen ist. Die Ermäßigungsberechtigung wird am Einlass kontrolliert.
Kinder: Kinder bis 14 Jahre zahlen nur 10 Euro. Ein Kind bis einschließlich drei Jahre hat Anspruch auf einen kostenfreien Schoßplatz pro Erwachsenem.
