Thirty Years of Doulas in Switzerland – A Movement That Keeps Growing 🇨🇭
What began in 1996 has grown into a vibrant and diverse community. Over three decades, passionate women have been building a nationwide doula movement with roots in all parts of Switzerland – united by a shared belief: women and families deserve emotional and practical support that is truly there for them and their needs.
The journey hasn’t always been smooth. But every time things have got difficult, doulas always find a way to stand together, unified by common values.
Now we join together in person with open hearts to celebrate – looking back with gratitude, and forward with excitement for what is still to come and the dream that every woman and family may find the doula who best supports them.

Was 1996 begann, hat sich zu einer lebendigen und vielfältigen Gemeinschaft entwickelt. Seit drei Jahrzehnten bauen engagierte Frauen eine landesweite Doula-Bewegung auf, die in allen Teilen der Schweiz verwurzelt ist – vereint durch eine gemeinsame Überzeugung: Frauen und Familien verdienen emotionale und praktische Unterstützung; eine Vertrauensperson, die rund um die Geburt ihres Kindes da ist für sie und ihre Bedürfnisse.
Der Weg war nicht immer einfach. Doch jedes Mal, wenn es schwierig wurde, fanden die Doulas einen Weg, zusammenzustehen - vereint durch gemeinsame Werte.
Nun kommen wir persönlich und mit offenem Herzen zusammen, um zu feiern. Mit Dankbarkeit blicken wir zurück und mit Vorfreude auf das, was noch vor uns liegt, und auf den Traum, dass jede Frau und jede Familie die Doula findet, die am besten zu ihr passt.

Trente ans de doulas en Suisse – Un mouvement qui ne cesse de grandir 🇨🇭
Ce qui a commencé en 1996 s’est transformé en une communauté dynamique et diversifiée. Depuis trois décennies, des femmes passionnées ont bâti un mouvement national de doulas ancré dans toutes les régions de Suisse, unies par une conviction commune : les femmes et familles méritent un soutien émotionnel et pratique qui réponde véritablement à leurs besoins.
Le parcours n’a pas toujours été sans embûches. Mais chaque fois que les choses se sont compliquées, les doulas ont toujours trouvé le moyen de se serrer les coudes, unies par des valeurs communes.
Maintenant, nous nous réunissons en personne, le cœur ouvert, pour célébrer – en jetant un regard rétrospectif empreint de gratitude, et en nous tournant vers l’avenir avec enthousiasme pour ce qui reste à venir et le rêve que chaque femme et famille puisse trouver la doula qui la soutiendra le mieux.

Trenta anni di doule in Svizzera – Un movimento in continua crescita 🇨🇭
Quello che è iniziato nel 1996 si è trasformato in una comunità dinamica e diversificata. Da tre decenni, donne appassionate hanno costruito un movimento di doule nazionale e radicato in tutte le regioni della Svizzera, unite da una convinzione comune: le donne meritano un sostegno emotivo e pratico che risponda davvero alle loro esigenze.
Il percorso non è sempre stato privo di ostacoli. Ma ogni volta che le cose si sono complicate, le doule hanno sempre trovato il modo di restare unite, legate da valori comuni.
Ora ci riuniamo di persona, a cuore aperto, per festeggiare – guardando indietro con gratitudine e guardando al futuro con entusiasmo per ciò che ci aspetta e con l’augurio che ogni donna possa trovare la doula che la sosterrà al meglio.
